Giorno 1
Arusha – Parco Nazionale del Tarangire
Meet your safari driver guide in the lobby after breakfast, and then depart for Tarangire National Park through Arusha town, where you can exchange currency or make any last-minute purchases. Tarangire is Tanzania's fifth-largest National Park and is famous for its stunning scenery and the largest population of elephants that can't be found anywhere else on the planet.
The park's highlights include the Tarangire River and the impressive baobab trees that tower over some of the smaller animal species underneath. The Tarangire-Lake Manyara ecosystem facilitates an annual migration cycle of over 3000 elephants, wildebeests, and zebras. Aside from the elephant population, you might also have the chance to see giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, warthogs, and three rare species: the Lesser and Greater Kudu, Oryx, and the Ash staling. As the late afternoon approaches, drive back to the Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay, either before or during sunset.
